Make Believe- Poem

Take me to the land of make-believe, where a huge stalk grew from a little seed

Where dragons fly and fire they breathe, as kids how we believed

The three little pigs made a final stand, Peter Pan flew off to a distant land

Captain hook had but one good hand, as kids how we believed

Snow White was servant bound, the fox was best friends with the hound

And Cinderella’s shoe was finally found, as kids how we believed

Hansel had a candy feast, beauty fell in love with the beast

Cruella Deville is one we liked the least, as kids how we believed

Ariel was just sixteen, Alice needed directions from the queen

And to the duckling they were oh so mean, as kids how we believed

So share the stories you were read, read them to your kids as they go to bed

Let magic fill their little heads, with stories we believed
